四、研究專長
My research interests involve a wide range on the dynamics of large-scale climate variability, such as dynamics of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), dynamics of annual cycles, dynamics of atmosphere and ocean circulations, tropical air-sea interactions and the interactions between the Pacific and the Atlantic. Recently my research topics have been focused on the dynamics of equatorial upwelling annual cycle induced by both remote and local atmospheric circulations. Part of my ongoing work includes:
- The wave effect in the equatorial circulations and its influence on the cold tongue evolution.
- Interactions between climate modes of different time scales (e.g. ENSO and annual cycles).
- Theoretical analysis and conceptual modeling on the dynamics of annual cycle, mean state and ENSO.
- Climate variability and its role under global warming
- Diagnosis and improvement of coupled model performances
